What personal data do we collect?
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletters we collect your name and email address via our website. We also collect personal information including your address and telephone number, which is collected by completing a paper form when you have your first treatment at Red Barn Retreat. Information we store for our own administration purposes may also include the dates of your visits, the services we provided and any offers you may have used.
We explicitly ask for your consent, to ensure that you are happy to hear from us from time to time.
Why do we collect your information?
We collect the information for a couple of reasons: to keep you informed of things you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are correct and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We do not rent or sell our email lists to any other individuals, organisations or businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletters and promotional emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our email communication. You can unsubscribe at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
How do we store your information?
Your information is stored electronically within our email provider’s database, as described above. Any paper forms containing your personal contact information are securely destroyed within 7 days of being submitted electronically, our backup data is password protected and stored securely using Microsoft cloud technology.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold on you. Please email your request to us at email@example.com
